Memorial Day Weekend.
Hey,
So past weekend was memorial day weekend, which is something we don't have (at least at this time of the year) in The Netherlands. I believe they had "pinksteren" in The Netherlands this weekend which also gives them a day extra off :). On thursday (the day before the official 4-day weekend started), we had field day. I participated in the homerun derby and I was out in round 1 (but yeah... what do Europeans know about baseball..). After that we played soccer with a lot of people basically till lunch. For lunch there was a barbeque (yay), and they had watermelon too! The last "activity" was "pieing seniors". People would bid money to "pie" a senior in the face with whipped cream. In my opinion there are better ways to use whipped cream (like eating it).
Friday was prom and we almost arrived late (oops!), but we made it just in time for the big picture outside. It was a very nice place (both inside and outside), and the food was also very good. Basically all it was was sitting (talking to people) and dancing.
The rest of the weekend I spent at Jukari's house and we did not undertake much except for a bit of exercise. On monday we went to the movies and we saw Tomorrowland. I think it is a good movie and I would recommend seeing it :).
Well.... that's it for this week.

Really good to read about your adventures in the USA. You were out in round one at the homerun derby, but nevertheless you did participate! I am really proud of you and how you manage to "survive" far from home. Have you been dancing also at the prom? Can't wait to see the pictures ;-). And yes, we had Pinksteren last weekend. I am looking forward to your next blog.
Effe snel Yannick....tussen het werk door.
We want pictures!!!!!!!
Can't wait!
